Ride The Rainbow
Sunday, December 6, 2009
(Location: Rainbow Bridge, Texas. Time: ~4pm. Average speed: 60mph. Temperature: ~45°F/with wind chill=~31°F. Wind condition: Variable, 10mph)
I had a chance to capture this clip during a short 82-mile ride yesterday. You can definitely see both the Rainbow Bridge and the Veterans Memorial Bridge on the left-side of the frame during the approach. Try watching it in the HD (full-frame) mode–it’s better. Enjoy!–Lorenzo
The Rainbow Bridge is the tallest bridge in Texas with a 177-ft.vertical clearance; whereas the Veterans Memorial Bridge only has 143-ft. (Source: Wikipedia)

Good job Lorenzo. Is it just me or were you passing everything on the road? It sounded like you were on a speed run at the Bonneville Salt Flats.
Thanks, Ron! Cagers tend to slow down when their eyes go sightseeing as they ascend the bridge, so I guess I had to pass them. The loud noise, while lending realism, can be annoying sometimes. Maybe I will put a piece of tape over the microphone, next time.

I got cold just watching the ride, but great video of the bridge.
Nice, but so close to my house, wish you would have stopped for some coffee.

Thanks, Denny! Did you hear my “beep! beep!” as I rode by Saturday? I thought about stopping by; but that would only mean the ride home could get that much colder since I usually overstay. I will stop by next time, for sure.
