Tuesday, March 9, 2010

My old friend, have I got a list of upgrades waiting for you!

With the 2001 Aprilia SR50 DiTech, sidelined since April of 2008, carefully relocated from the storage to the workshop, I began making a list of things which I am about to do to it:

Stage One–Primary Improvement:

  1. Install 70cc Malossi big-bore kit w/ECU
  2. Install NGK ZMR7AP platinum plug
  3. Install Malossi 15/40 primary drive gear
  4. Install Malossi Kevlar belt
  5. Install BGM Pro reed valve
  6. Install Aprilia throttle position sensor
  7. Install new fork seals
  8. Install Aprilia Racing adjustable rear shock
  9. Install BGM LED taillights w/ turn-signals
  10. Install Buzzetti side stand
  11. Install new grips
  12. Install new battery

Stage Two–Secondary Improvement:

  • Repaint entire scooter
  • Re-upholster seat and reshape pillion
  • Audi-style” Headlight LED treatment
  • Driving lights
  • Remove stock license plate/turn-signal cluster
  • Relocate license plate and illumination
  • Dramatic weight-saving measures
  • More…

Work to begin soon…

      Hahaha! I wish, Denny.
So many things I must do before it’s street-worthy.
When it’s ready, it will be fast and good-looking!
