Scarabeo Is Back!

Saturday, November 15, 2008

It really came as a pleasant surprise to me, when Ed showed up today at Rao’s on his beloved Scarabeo 250, recently overhauled at Apollo Scooters’ garage in Houston.  Ed appeared stoked about having his scooter back; although he hasn’t quite had a chance to put all the Tupperware pieces back on the scoot so we will call it “half-naked”.  “Actually, it seems to run a little stronger than before…”, Ed mentioned…

Happily scootin again!!

Happily scootin' again!!

The piercing, northwesterly gusts forced us to seek shelter and a warm, nourishing meal at Joe’s Pizza & Pasta.  That creamy, chicken with artichoke and angel-hair pasta dish they called “Chicken Consentini” really hit the spot for me.  Reinvigorated, we managed to ride all the way to Orange, even survived the 30-plus mile-per-hour crosswind at the top of Veteran’s Bridge.

Welcome back, “Scare Bear” Ed!–Lorenzo

That’s good news, Ed! Do you get ant heat with that cover off? Might just wait till spring to put it back on.
I’m not getting much riding in with all the work I have, but if I could, today would be a great day to take a spin.
    Glad to see you back.

    1. I did not want to replace tupperware until it had a road trial. I will install tupperware this week

    2. I do not need or want a Burgman. The Burgman does not fit with my riding style.

    3. I do get a little warm air and some noise with the tupperware off.

    Good to be riding again.
