Honda: Lost In America v.2009

Tuesday, November 11, 2008

Incredible?  Yes, you may have also received this same newsletter today from Honda Powersports, touting “What’s the word on the street this year? 2009 is going to change the motorcycle world. Get ready for some of the hottest new technology you’ve ever seen in an amazing new line up of mold-shattering motorcycles.”  Yes, motorcycles.  No scooters.  No new 400cc Silverwing with ABS (fresh from the 2008 EICMA).  No PGM-FI fuel-injected 300cc SHi with ABS from Italy (#1 best-seller there).  Just the S.O.S. from last year’s line-up, take away the “8” of 2008 and replace it with a “9”.  That’s all, folks!  American Honda has lost its mind and lost its grasp on reality, again.  Your wishes are, apparently, not their commands.–Lorenzo (is at a loss for words)

(Editor’s note)  Read it and weep.  This kind of insensitive newsletter cr*p infuriates the heck out of me.  Sorry, blind-n-deaf, good-fur-nuttin’ American Honda bastards!  Another year wasted. No more petitions, no more protests.  The love affair is over.–Lorenzo

I am thinking our voice is not strong enough. Honda, if you are listening. I need a SH300i!

    Lindsay,

You need a SH300i so badly; but I have grown tired of Honda’s attitudes toward the American scooter consumers. I think they just don’t care, and they show it, too.
