Not Quite Jasper; But Kirbyville Will Do

Saturday, September 27, 2008

This was our second ride after Hurricane Ike.  Today, Ed, Mike, Pam and I aimed for Jasper for a little northern excursion.  Well, due to a combination of a reoccurring coolant loss problem, engine shut-off and hard-to-start issues plaguing Ed’s Scarabeo, we decided halfway through an otherwise beautiful ride to turn toward Kirbyville for a little dinner before heading back.  We will likely complete this ride to Jasper again some other time; but for today Kirbyville would be as far as we go.–Lorenzo
