From Jefferson Parish To Jefferson County

Friday, August 29, 2008

The threat of an approaching Hurricane Gustav is not to be taken lightly on the third anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.  Needless to say, this Saturday’s ride to Woodville has officially been canceled.  Please follow the official instructions of your local government and be prepared for the incoming storm, as well as any possible evacuation orders.  Take care of yourselves and your loved ones.  We will ride again soon.  Your safety will always be our main concern.–Lorenzo

I rode today around Mid-County and PA. Seen 4 other scooters riding today and 3 motorcycles. 7-11 type stores were open and HEB’s were open. Wind was in the 20 mph range with gust in the 30 mph range. Blowed around alot on overpasses. Just very light rain here at the house. Spent the rest of afternoon cleaning my Burger.

Good to hear that you’re out and about. We might get to Pickett House this Saturday afterall.–Lorenzo

A totally over-billed hurricane Gustav was. To be safe than sorry, I thought the general evacuation was a great call! We just lucked out this time; but the season doesn’t end ’till November is over.–Lorenzo
