Family Box Day @ SETX Food Bank

Work is done for the day; but the fight against hunger never ends

Unusually high number of volunteers showed up for today’s Family Box Day at the SETX Food Bank, among them were many youngsters so the energy level was high and also good to know that they care. Work went smoothly all morning and by the end of the session over 1,000 boxes of food were packed and ready for distribution throughout the eight surrounding counties currently served by the SETX Food Bank. Monument Roofing was nice enough to cook up some delicious hamburgers and smoked links for all the volunteers. What a great day knowing that we helped out in chipping away the never-ending hunger problem in our area, one thousand carefully-packed boxes of food at a time!_Lorenzo
