Video Shorts On Oscar Night

2008 February 24

It’s Oscar Night! Let’s go to the “movies”!

First from vespatrial, a clip on Reppublica Radio TV entitled “Vespa Forever“. Enjoy!

Next, from boxshow.tv, a history of Vespa.

Following that, a quick stroll through Museo Piaggio courtesy of Jared Foster. The description reads,”In October of 2000 my wife and I took a tour of the Vespa Museum in Pontedera, Italy. Here you will see early prototype Vespa scooters as well as classics like the Vespa GS and 90SS. If you ever go to Italy and are near Pisa be sure to go see this excellent Museum!” (Filmed and Edited by Jared Foster. Music by Belle & Sebastian and Stephen Trask.)

Finally, a funny animation about Ennio Morricone and his music by Walter Leoni from boxshow.tv . No scooters in this one.

Hope you’ve enjoyed our little video distraction. Don’t forget to watch The 80th Oscar tonight! Thank Goodness the strike is over. Whew!Lorenzo

The Bourne Ultimatum, considered by SCGT members as a “scooter movie” and the only film in the trilogy to have been nominated for any Academy Award, won for Best Film Editing, Best Sound, and Best Sound Editing. Congratulations!
